This Christmas present is one that you will not find under the Christmas tree. The addition below was a present and a beautiful one, too. Although this project took a bit longer than expected the finished product proved to be a room of true beauty. This project had many parts to it. The first step was putting together the hand-dug foundation. Once that was completed, in-floor radiant heat was installed and cement was poured over it. The next step was to frame, but it was a little tricky. Our contractors had to frame the new addition over the existing house to get the cathedral-ceilings high enough. The roof was then put on, the sky-lights were installed and the inside work began. Knotty pine was put on the walls instead of sheetrock. Knotty pine was not only installed on the walls, it was also on the ceiling of the addition. Once the walls and ceiling were covered in the pine, the hardwood flooring was installed over the heated concrete.
And, there you have it, a brand new room.

Please take a look at the before and after pictures below. If you would like a room like this one, please do not hesitate to call us. Thank you.
