A slate roof, old disheveled copper gutters, and dinged up downspouts were what the Lewis Construction and Seamless Gutter crew stepped into at this elegant home in Syracuse, New York. Did you think there was no way to install gutters with a slate roof? Well, think again. Lewis Construction and Seamless Gutter has had many encounters with slate roofs. The first line of business with this home was to remove the out-dated, nonfunctional copper gutter system. The old system was replaced with a new 6-inch gutter system. The Leaf Terminator was also installed on this home to help with leaves, debris and the weight of the ice and snow. The color chosen by the homeowners was Musket Brown to match the color of the aged and weathered copper gutter system that was removed.
